Peter from BP Aviation in Penticton came by yesterday to let us know that he had just had a near miss with traffic along the lake between Westbank and Summerland. He advised that his school utilized the valley in that area for training and pointed out two new reporting points in the CFS on page B793, namely Peachland and Squalley Point. There is also Chute... Lake on the direct route. For everyone's safety, and since many of his students use the area extensively for practice, Peter has requested that we give position reports and monitor 126.7 when transiting the area outside of the "zones". It goes without saying to keep a sharp lookout...
