November 5, 2020 The Legion is receiving many phone calls from people who are looking for the Legion masks. We currently do not have any masks. They have been ordered and we are waiting for them to be shipped to us. If you are on the wait list for masks, you will be phoned when they arrive. If you are not on the wait list, any extra masks that are received will be sold on a first come first served basis and we will advertise that we have masks for sale at that time.... We kindly ask that you do not phone the Legion asking about masks. We are unable to handle the volume of calls being received. Thank you for your cooperation.

The month to Remember !

Comrades it has come to my attention that some of you feel that we are not following the COVID-19 directives from Dr. Bonnie Henry and Interior Health. Let me assure you that we are aligned with the directives from our health authorities. It is in the best interests of our Legion Branch and the safety of our membership that we control, social distance, sanitize and have all of you coming in for our various events to be safe. Having said that it is extremely frustrating to... volunteers who go out of their way to ensure all members follow the various protocols to ensure safety of all when some people do not believe that these protocols apply to them. So I am asking that all of you help us by following all the rules and directives that are published, articulated to you by our volunteers and are well known to you from daily media feedback on Covid. If any you have issues or think we should be doing something different please see any of our executive team with your advice and or complaint. Lets all work together to ensure safety of all! As branches begin to prepare for the upcoming Poppy Campaign, many of us are concerned with how COVID-19 will affect our ability to run a successful Poppy Campaign. Many of you are also concerned about your own personal health and the health of your family and friends during this time. We ask our branches to plan and assist to the best of your ability while implementing the safeguards that will maintain the health of all our members and in turn our families and communities. ...The local Poppy campaign will be very different this year and we are going to need the help of everyone who is able to help in any way. The commercial campaign is a very important part of our fundraising efforts. At this point, Vince Lemke, who runs the commercial campaign has only 4 volunteers to help. He desperately needs some help! If you can give a little time, no matter how large or small, PLEASE contact Vince at [email protected] or call the office to indicate your willingness to help. Vince will be happy to explain what is required.
