Happy 30 years of Sobriety. This is the day to honour a man who struggled with and overcame his addiction with alcohol. A man whom I respect, who taught me the importance of family, hard work ethic, compassion and generosity without prejudice, and unwavering sobriety through the hardest of times. ... This is my father. This is also a testament to the strength, success and family of Alcoholics Anonymous. I thank all those members who have ever showed up to a meeting, shared their story, wept tears and revealed their vulnerabilities. I thank his past sponsers and his current sponsees, for their guidance, sharing and brotherhood. If it was not for you, and the family of Alcoholics Anonymous and the wisdom of the 12-step program, my father would not be alive today. He would not have lived these last 3O years, of that I am certain. It is with deep gratitude that I give thanks to AA and it is in a high regard that I hold every member who makes it to their next meeting. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; The courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference... And at the end of every meeting and every prayer we finish with: Keep coming back - it works. And it does. Happy 30 Years of Sobriety Babo. I love you. ##alcohlicsanonymous #serenityprayer #sobrietyisbeautiful #gratefuleveryday
Healthcare is serious, but we should always keep in mind that there are health benefits to be had from laughter too
24 hours after microneedling treatment vs. immediately post micro needling treatment In only 24 hours, the majority of the redness has lifted, leaving a natural youthful glow Link in bio to book!
I love this company! The kids love fresh baked muffins for a warm GF breakfast on a school day and I’ll often add raisins or cranberries for some variety and texture. I last stocked up at the local Harvest in Chilliwack just off the Hwy (I was travelling for some essential medical upgrading) and when I ran out, I simply ordered more online - Easy peasy!
Because it can often be difficult to keep down prenatal vitamins with even a little water during the first 3 months, I offer all my pregnant patients intramuscular Vitamin injections to manage morning sickness. This helps to ensure proper neural tube development for the growing baby. Personally, I’m not sure I would have made it through my first 4 months of pregnancy, without getting weekly shots and/or IV's. This is a good alternative if you have adverse feelings about t...aking prescription medications during pregnancy. These medications (ie. Diclectin) at 4 pills a day, do not always prevent the symptoms and can be very expensive, $120-$150 for a one month supply. Link below to book and inquire www.dremina.com

Folate, otherwise known as folic acid, is a B vitamin with many important roles in the body. It helps make and repair your DNA, and also supports red blood cell production. Certain populations are at greater risk of developing folate deficiency than others. It is typically associated with poor diet, alcoholism, and malabsorptive disorders, such as Crohn’s disease.1 Additionally, pregnant women who do not consume enough folate are at risk of birthing babies with neural t...ube defects. Women of childbearing age are recommended to consume 400 mcg folate daily, and 600 mcg during pregnancy. All other adults are generally recommended to consume 400 mcg per day to meet their folate needs. Those with a folate deficiency may experience the symptoms listed below: Fatigue and weakness Difficulty concentrating Irritability Headaches Heart palpitations Shortness of breath Digestive symptoms Soreness and ulcers in the tongue and mouth Changes in hair, skin, and nail pigmentation If you do have a folate deficiency, supplementation may also be necessary. Women of childbearing age and those who are pregnant are typically recommended to take a prenatal vitamin that contains folate, to reduce the risk of birth defects. RECIPE AND TIP The secret to a good kale salad is chopping it up well enough that it’s shredded. This helps to absorb the flavor of the dressing and allows your knife to do more work than your muscles of mastication! I prefer to plant or buy large dinosaur kale (aka Lacinato) because it’s more delicate than traditional curly kale and it has a milder flavour. Did you know that even 100% fruit juices may increase the risk of type 2 diabetes?! A new study from Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health has uncovered that drinking more sugary beverages, whether they contain added or naturally-occurring sugar, is associated with a higher risk of type 2 diabetes. The connection between the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages such as soft drinks, punches, fruit drinks, sports drinks, and sugared iced tea and type 2 diabe...tes is supported by a large amount of evidence. This new study has revealed that 100% fruit juices may also increase type 2 diabetes risk. The researchers analyzed the results from three cohort studies and found that increasing total sugary beverage intake, whether they were sugar-sweetened beverages or 100% fruit juices by more than a 4-ounce serving per day over a 4-year period was associated with a 16% higher risk of diabetes in the subsequent 4 years. Replacing one daily serving of sugary beverage with water, coffee or tea was associated with a 2-10% lower risk of diabetes. See more

Elderberry syrup has been used for generations to help fight cold and flu! . Elderberries contains bioflavonoids like 'anthocyanidins' which are known to be anti-inflammatory, immune boosting and have anti-viral affects on the body! . Studies show that elderberry extracts (or Sambucol) can inhibit the replication of some kinds of flu viruses when taken within the first 48 hrs of symptoms (fever, cough, fatigue, headache, and body aches) by almost 56% when taken in appro...priate doses!! . This supportive berry, when cooked correctly, is generally well tolerated by most people and safe for children with little to no side effects or interactions with drugs (-with the exception of immunosuppressants!) .
