Volunteering can give your child valuable experience to help identify education and employment goals or to help them build a resume. Volunteering at the Kelowna Paddle Centre allows your child to create a meaningful relationship within the community while having fun and enjoying the outdoors. Mentored and guided by our Manager, Team Leads, Instructors and Experienced members, this opportunity provides real-world experience while helping with equipment set-up and maintenance,... cleaning and site preparation and assisting instructors during lessons. Volunteering helps develop key attributes like communication, leadership and time management skills, while practicing collaboration and problem-solving. Instructors in Training (IIT) is designed as a stepping stone for young paddlers to develop their coaching and leadership skills while providing an opportunity to practice these skills under the guidance of experienced instructors. Previous paddling camp or paddle training is expected. Instructors in training will learn the basics of group management; equipment inspections and handling; paddle technique as well as safety on and near the water. You can Be An Angel this year and help support children, seniors, and families in need of food this holiday season! The Kelowna Paddle Centre would love for you to show support for the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank through The Be-an-Angel campaign. The Be-an-Angel is here to provide local households requiring a helping hand with extra support over the holidays. Your support today will go directly towards helping us feed local families in need. Donate between December... 1st December 31st and the Thomas Alan Budd Foundation will donate an additional *25% of all funds raised. Doug and Shona stopped in for a visit with us at the @kelownapaddlecentre today. They also decided to donate the @barkboards SUP for our up and coming racers to use. Thanks for the visit, and thanks for your support!! Hopefully we get to see you at a race soon!

@coastoutdoors is on site - with PFD’s, @vaikobi gear, leashes, waterproof phone cases. Wind breakers, paddling shorts, bright hast and other cool stuff!!

Sign up for this years Fall 440 paddle challenge. Join as an individual or as a team. Complete 440km between September 1st and October 31st. It’s just 7.2km a day or about 50km a week. Any paddlers are welcome, where ever you are from!!
