There’s a whole load of new faces over here so allow me to re-introduce myself! I’m Kelsea, head knitter at Kelsea Knits. I started this business in 2017 after I made my sister a set of knit cacti for Christmas. Inspired by her plight to keep plants alive and various requests as to where someone who get these cacti, Kelsea Knits was born My main goal for Kelsea Knits is to bring a little bit of whimsy into people’s homes. The best part of craft markets is having people s...top and smile when they realize the cacti at my booth aren’t real In addition to finding ways to encourage smiles, I’m always seeking ways to make Kelsea Knits more sustainable I thrift or pickup second hand yarn, pots, tea cups, and other planters as much as possible. I also reuse shipping materials when I send cacti out around Canada I’m from the Ottawa area where I live with my darling partner (who learned how to wind yarn this fall!) and pet rabbit I’ve never quite grasped crochet but have been knitting since I was seven! My wonderful mom crochets all those adorable flowers you see and my dad builds my displays and helps set up and tear down at markets. Both my mom and my sister attend craft markets with me since they’re sales people by trade. Plus, I like spending my time shopping other makers anyway!
