2020 has been a weird year to say the least, but it wasn’t entirely bad news bears. Now that the vaccine is here, I feel better knowing that my old folks will be the first ones to get it. And the U.S. election left tears in my eyes since we finally got rid of orange turdbaby!!! When lockdown first happened, I was anxious af. But then I realized that I was blessed with time to be able to work on music. I’m still a small artist and growing my fanbase, but I’m proud of the new ...accompaniments ive made this year including getting on Spotify playlists, releasing music with better traction, getting interviewed, learning multiple technical skills and I finally got better with my screams thanks to @hannah_rebel_d.e!! Instagram has a word cap which I hate. But my main music goals this year is to perform livestreams and put out original music that will 100% be my vision. And eventually get the artist visa, the right way. On a personal note, I’ve struggled heavily with depression for the past few years, and covid allowed me to step back and really take care of my brain and mental health. I got back on anti-depressants, which has been beneficial. And I’m grateful that I was finally diagnosed with ADHD this year after two misdiagnoses throughout my life. But medication didn’t help at all. Instead, I’ve learned to rely on behavioural techniques and my own will power to get me through life, because pills don’t teach skills. I also finally cut the shit and stopped being a people pleaser. I stopped caring about what people thought of me, stood up for myself, and lost friends along the way. But it’s more important to select your friends carefully, than try to be friends with everyone. I never thought that putting together a website would be this challenging, but it took me a whole month to set it up. The thing I loved about @wix Adi was the many templates you can choose from, although there were times where I had technical difficulties that frustrated me. Big props to @wix and their 24/7 support for helping me through these issues at any time of the day! I would call them at 2am and they would pick up to my surprise I don’t know if it’s normal to be on t...ech support for each call for an hour, but that’s how patient they were with me haha. You know you’re completely awol from social media when you come back and it becomes a fuckin’ store The cool thing is that you can link your own shop to IG, and I recently set up my merch with IG shop. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on social media, and there are times where I feel like disappearing for awhile. But I just want to say thank you and send a warm hug out to everyone that’s listened to my music and supported me this year. These numbers may be small, but this a step in the right direction. Going from barely any listeners to almost a 10k increase warms my heart, but it’s not the numbers that I care the most about. When I released my @sushitrash - Slow Dancin...g in the Dark cover, I received so many heartwarming messages about how this song resonated with you, and even gave you goosebumps. That’s exactly what I’m trying to convey with my music, and I’m heading towards my goal of releasing music that’s 100% authentic to who I am. I have a lot to work on for next year and have new music, and a new plan towards making 2021 more progressive towards my music career. I know that this is a tough time for most people, and I feel my mental health taking a hit as well. But make the most of the rest of the year, and be prepared for what 2021 has to bring. I’m currently getting a teaser made for my new release, but I am so excited that both my track and video for my Joji - Slow Dancing in the Dark (Djent Cover), will finally be released September 25th on all streaming services! My friend Cesar Marenco and I worked really hard on this track. And the idea for the song came from the No Dice version which we absolutely loved, and used as a reference for the cover. Slow dancing in the dark related to what I was going through at the ...time, wanting to slow dance, (or be with), someone that wasn’t there anymore. My greatest wish is if Joji happened to see the video and we made both him and Filthy Frank proud. And also, thank you to everyone that streamed Lonely!
