I really do not like posting negative things. However I have noticed a huge increase on people not respecting their garbage when visiting the lake. We have picked up and cleaned up several bags of garbage at the maindock area. We just returned from a nice cruise to tallow rock which resulted in cleaning up several cans and plastic bottles that blew into the lake in the storm as well as fruit and vegetable trays left behind from visitors there today. How easy is it to just take your trash with you?

Congratulations to a new Smokercraft owner!! David’s family surprised him with a brand new boat today. He has been wearing rubber boots in his old boat because it leaks so badly. He was beyond surprised and nearly in tears when he found out this one was his to take home.

Installed a new Evinrude 30hp at Millar-Potter Boat Restoration, Manotick, Ont. New and old they all need a great motor.

Another new boat heading to Stittsville, Ontario. 2020 Smokercraft Angler 16 SC powered with a 60hp Evinrude E-tec.

Another new pontoon heading for its new home on beautiful Charleston Lake. 2021 Sylvan L3 DLZ with a full camper. Customers love it and with a new Evinrude E-tec 150HP 3cylinder. It runs the lake at 34mph with ease.

Now ya’ll know why I came back East from California long ago. Charleston Lake is truly Heaven on Earth.

Today's Ontario #COVID19 update includes steps to reopen more of our province's economy.

Monday May 4 we will be able to get back normal operations. Public docking is still closed and parts and accessories will all be offered curb side. We are able to prepare the boats and have them ready. Let the summer begin. Stay safe and healthy.

Premier Ford announced yesterday the extension of the Declaration of Emergency under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act for a further 28 days, br...inging the new date to May 12th. Boating Ontario is finalizing a letter to go to the Premier and multiple Minister’s to outline the importance of boating as a safe and social distancing responsible activity. In addition, they will define the critical timing that we find ourselves in as a seasonal business and the need for a 4 week limited operations period during which we can provide ‘touchless’ delivery experiences for retail sold inventory & to safely allow marina teams the time required to get the boats out of storage and into their slips. Boating Ontario is also working on a social distancing best practice guide for boaters to help all marinas navigate this pandemic as safely as possible once we are able to officially reopen. At this time, we will remain hopeful that, in some capacity, we can keep operations going and be able to launch some boats in the near future.
