Dear Teacher, We are excited to invite you to a new workshop at our new location. The workshop is A New Look at Listening and it will be held at the Real Institute, which is conveniently located on the corner of College and Yonge (second floor of the College Park building). A New Look at Listening is a different approach to teaching listening and it was the feature article in the last issue of English Teaching Professional magazine. The workshop will take you through the eight... steps of the framework, which is easy to implement and completely universal as it can be used with virtually any listening text. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 13th from 17:30 to 19:00 at the Real Institute, More information about the workshop is below. If you’d like to participate in this unique session, simply reply to this email to register. You can pay in cash or by cheque when you arrive. If you would like to register and pay by credit card, you can do it here http://kenlackman.com/attendworkshops2.html. As usual, we will continue our discussion about teaching listening and many other topics at the pub after the workshop, so feel free to come to that also, We hope to see you at this very useful workshop!

Our next workshop will be something new and different. Beyond the Word presents a new way of teaching reading and listening comprehension. This approach is based on a series of experiments with students whose comprehension of texts was hindered by their limited ability to process language. The workshop will present a a group of universal activities designed to help learners deal more effectively with word and sentence level grammar in order to promote better understanding of... reading and listening texts. The workshop will be held on June 8th from 5:30 to 7:00 at English Central. More information about the workshop is below. If you’d like to participate in this unique session, simply reply to this email to register and you can pay in cash or by cheque when you arrive. If you prefer to register and pay by credit card, you can do so here http://kenlackman.com/attendworkshops2.html
