I don’t know about you but I’m tired. What a great day so glad to see so many new faces and those interested in learning about honey and beekeeping. It was a successful day all around and a big thank you goes out to all the people who didn’t let the rain stop them.

Bees may not come out in the rain but the Beekeepers are all weather hardy.

A big shout out to Gord and Cathy Humphrey for all their hard work cleaning up the large flower bed in front of the hall. They removed a lot of weeds and moved some Perennials that were begging for some time in the sun. Thank you also to Sue Gimblett for your help and Paula Sheppard for keeping them watered.

As many of you may have heard or have noticed the flag outside at half mast, we lost our Bob Robinson on Easter weekend. It was a huge shock. Bob was a tireless contributor to the Community Centre, to the Kendal Lions and to the community. This past week there has been a lot happening here at the Centre and it’s all the little things that used to get done behind the scenes, that constantly remind us of what a tremendous person Bob was. It will be impossible to find someone w...ho will care about a place enough to put so much effort into keeping it going for the future. The Board of Directors extends our deepest sympathies to the Robinson family and our fellow board member Shirley Robinson. The efforts over the last decade of Bob and Shirley are the reason this Community Centre is still here for the residents of Kendal and Clarington to enjoy. There will be a celebration of life held on May 19 at the Port Hope Lions Centre. See more
