DO HARD THINGS I grew up with asthma. The kind that had me gasping for air in the middle of the night and rushing to the ER kind of asthma. It was scary, and I let it make me scared. As I got older the asthma got better, but I used it as a crutch. I made excuses for myself to stay in my comfort zone, in case I didn’t make the team, or couldn’t keep up with those who were physically stronger than me. I gave my power away to an illness and let it define me well into adultho...od. At some point (as is quite common) I outgrew my asthma. Some of it was environment change, some of it was emotional release, but a lot of it for me has been a mental journey. This weekend is an excellent example of that mental game; as I struggled through some tough parts on a hard hike, that my body, my lungs, are stronger than I think they are. I can do hard things, if I believe I can, and I did! Is there something hard in your life, you’re giving your life that you’re giving your power to? Or maybe a hard thing you’re putting off? What’s ONE thing you can do today towards taking that power back, or getting closer to making it happen? Do that! Every day, until you’ve done the hard thing! Need help? I’m opening up 5 spots for 1:1 clients starting in September! UPLIFT Spent the weekend bonding with these babes (and some dudes too) and came back feeling inspired and supported. The (patriarchal) world wants to tear us down, to pit us against one another, to create competition, angst and keep us down. This group showed me how much we can do when we all stick together and uplift. Kind words were spoken, hearts were held, sisterhoods were forged and fun and debauchery was had! ... A big goal of mine is to create retreats for womxn to get to feel how I felt this weekend. Would you be down to be part of a collective of womxn, who uplifts and inspires one another? Let me know in the comments and I’ll tell you how to make it happen! #openheartedbadass #challengeaccepted #yvr #confidencecoach #vancouverlifecoach #beachbabes #pnw #westcoastbestcoast #sisterhood #love #womxn #uplift #babessupportingbabes @ Beautiful British Columbia.

HAPPY PLACE I wanted to write a metaphor for life that has to do with surfing, but right now that seems contrived. The ocean brings me peace, surfing brings me joy, and when times get tough, and it feels like it’s all a bit much, I think of days like this one and my desire to be back here, with salt and sand in my hair and a smile on my face. It encourages me to keep going; fighting for what I believe in, helping others find their bliss, and making sure every person ...has a chance to feel how I feel when I’m here. When things feel a bit hopeless, there’s a happy place to go to, to connect with yourself, with nature, with joy, and remember what’s worth fighting for. This is mine. What’s yours? #happyplace #internationalsurfingday #joy #bliss #openheartedbadass #costarica #yvr #travel #surf #justkeepsurfing #gratitude #lifecoach #vancouver #tamarindo #adventure #therapy #surftherapy #saltsweatandtears

BLACK LIVES MATTER Think back over the last few months when you were afraid to go outside, when you saw an officer or parks person and maybe felt uncomfortable or like you were doing something wrong and maybe feared being stopped, maybe you were called a name or shamed for going about your business, the feeling you felt as you saw someone cross to the other side of the street when they saw you coming, the weird looks or maybe glares you got for wearing or not wearing a ma...sk, the feeling of not being able to pay rent or put food on the table,...that is how a lot of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour feel ALL THE TIME and for many the consequences of leaving your home, was far worse than covid because the wrong place at the wrong time could mean jail and or death. Times are tough, but we’re stronger together. #blackouttuesday #supportmelanatedbusiness #actnow #endwhitesupremacy #justiceforgeorgefloyd #bipoclivesmatter #yvr #vancouver @ Vancouver - Unceeded Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Territory See more

White friends: It’s time to stop taking up so much real estate online. BIPOC voices need to be heard and seen. It’s time to heal. Canada is not exempt. #blackouttuesday #blacklivesmatter #bipoclivesmatter #indigenouslivesmatter
