This has brewing in me for years!! It hasn’t been till now where the pieces have been slowly connecting. As I dig deeper on me... the layers keep peeling ...off like an onion I keep showing up and discovery more. The tears start to come... ALL the feelings. ___ I always felt I wanted to be able to explain my journey and hopefully one day help other pregnant moms along the way. - Because: I will never forget what it was like to be 6 weeks pregnant (in the picture below NOT showing yet obviously) Being so excited, Not fully aware yet of what REALLY is happening, Yet having a TON of questions brewing in my head of what’s to come. The decisions that I would have to make about my BODY, LIFE and BABY. And I did just that... ask questions. Asked more questions. Read books and took notes. I watched birth videos etc. It was VERY clear what I wanted in my pregnancy and what I didn’t want from the seeds that were planted in me before. (Which that is for another post) I just didn’t know who to ask or what information would help me. I knew that there would be people telling me the not good FEAR based info or limiting my beliefs of what a healthy and happy pregnancy would look like. I was always having my radar on to see where it felt right for me. NOT for others. I would go the other way and continue my search on against the grain thoughts, my proof and information. _____ To be clear, when I got pregnant I knew what I wanted and my gut was guiding me until all the pieces connected. Even later when there were bumps in the road I still knew what I wanted. I was pulled towards info that taught the natural birth process with no interventions. Understanding my body was KEY. It blew my mind what the body was capable of doing once I understood. I created a safe environment for myself that protected me which was built on my HEALTH, and MINDSET and FAITH and the right SUPPORT. DURING my pregnancy I made it a priority to watch my diet and increase my strength and flexibility. I felt confident and sure of myself of the decisions I made. - Pregnancy is not only about growing a new life but DURING it...helping you prepare your body and mind for it. When you have voices around you helping and guiding you..it encourages you towards your BEST. I’m grateful I found voices like that. Some in books (which I’ll be sharing) Some in real life people (which I’ll be sharing) Here I am today passionately LOVING to talk about pregnancy, birth and postpartum as a Certified Doula and Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator.
