Report from the Legislature April 8, 2021 The COVID-19 pandemic is not just a global health crisis, it is the biggest shock to the Saskatchewan, Canadian and world economies since the Second World War. This is a significant challenge that requires a significant response. Saskatchewan’s response can best be summarized in three words: Protect. Build. Grow....Continue reading
I can't say that mission statements have been something I took very seriously in the past. But have been reflecting on lots of things these past few days and weeks because politics is certainly a different animal. When you run a business, farm or ranch, you simply live your commitment through your day to day efforts and actions in hope of just rewards for your hard work. ... Growing up on the farm during the 80s and running an oilfield business for 25 years has shown me that hard work alone isn't a guarantee of success. You need good timing, good people and some good luck in order to get through the rough spots. We are having some of those tough times again, especially in the energy sector. Tough times come and go but tough people stay is the old cliche. That is why 25 years ago we chose to come back to the place we have always considered home. That is why we want to stay here and that is why I want to do my part to ensure our kids and someday grandkids have that same opportunity. So, when things get a little ugly or challenging, it's all the more reason to dig in. We'll wait for Monday to see what the near future may hold.
Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you for your continued support. Even though we are going through a very difficult time we still live in the very best place! Cheers to better days ahead in 2021!
Thank you for the support! Our irrigation association was having some issues with provincial crown leases. We contacted Ken to see if he could help us get though the red tape dealing with different ministries at the same time. We are still working through these issues but wanted to say that our local MLA office was always accessible and helpful. We are very appreciative to have that type of representation. William Coventry, President, Chesterfield Water Users Association, Box Bar Angus Ranch, Mantario, SK
Thank you for the support! "Ken stepped up and made our voice heard on some potentially harmful regulations that were being considered by the provincial energy regulator. I know he will continue to fight for our oil patch when he is re-elected." Jim and Gregg Olson, Red Sky Resources, Kindersley
Thank you for the support! We really appreciate what Ken (along with the other rural Sask Party MLAs) did to bring trespass legislation into effect here in the province. As cattle ranchers and farmers in WC Sask, our operation is very spread out and difficult to monitor. The new legislation gives us some much needed peace of mind knowing that hunters will be more proactive with getting proper permission and we are now able to keep better track of who is accessing our land. Brent and Kim Watts, Leader, Eatonia, Mantario, Eyre, SK
Thank you for the support! Ken coordinated a meeting and invited all of the body shops located in WC Sask. We had really good discussions and our group left the meeting confident that our concerns were being heard and seriously considered by SGI. Richard Anderson, Kerrobert Paint and Body on behalf of:... Zach Bast, Slick Autobody, Macklin, Leighton Hauck T & T Collision, Macklin Pat Quinney, Quickfall’s Collision Centre, Kindersley Randy and Janice Vold, Vold’s Collision Kindersley
