Re: music, 2020 was the year of discovering new albums and artists that I normally wouldn't have gone to search out for myself. 330 albums, a Spotify universe's worth of new songs, and a few really amazing artist discoveries later came 2021! This will be the year where it's all about artists themselves! (Disclaimer: I am a big indie-folk/-americana/-pop/ -progressive country/-ambient/-blend-of-many-of-these fan, so extra interest from me if you hit somewhere in that very broad ballpark. Otherwise, hit me with an artist(s) I should look into discovering more about, irregardless of genre.

I did not place in the winning ranks of the SongDoor Songwriting Competition, but yours truly DID however make it to the Honourable Mentions list (Pop) with 'Shower You Off Me' where it was seriously considered as a finalist! Dear, Grammys: You made some awesome choices (I'm all for HAIM, Roddy Ricch, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa - among others - getting their respective nods), but The Weeknd was easily the one artist who slayed this whole year with 'Blinding Lights' and 'In Your Eyes'...and not ONE nomination for either, or the album?
