We are keeping it green! As of October 1st, Kent Building Supplies will be removing plastic shopping bags from all stores to support Canada’s move towards reducing ocean waste by banning single-use plastics. By removing 1.5 million plastic shopping bags from circulation, we will reduce our carbon footprint by 109,000 pounds. Paper bags are available for purchase and recycled reusable bags will be available no later than November 1st.

When we put a call out for photos of our children and adult fashion face masks, Molly and Kaitlin Little delivered! Maël (6 years old) loves KENT and wanted to open his very own store in his backyard. Edmundston Store Manager, Jeff Ouellet, met Maël the day before his "grand opening" and gave him some management tips and promo items for his big opening day. Maël made a flyer, hired his sister as cashier, and even set up a hand sanitizing station. To celebrate the grand opening, he invited neighbours and family from as far as Grand Falls, NB to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and browse... his new play store. Great work Maël! Maël (6 ans) adore KENT et souhaitait ouvrir son propre magasin dans sa cour arrière. Le gérant du magasin d'Edmundston, Jeff Ouellet, a rencontré Maël la veille de sa grande ouverture et lui a donné quelques conseils de gestion et des articles promotionnels pour l’ouverture de son magasin. Maël a créé une circulaire, a embauché sa sœur comme caissière et a même mis en place une station de désinfection pour les mains. Pour célébrer l'inauguration, il a invité ses voisins et les membres de sa famille de Grand-Sault, N.-B. à assister à la cérémonie d'inauguration et à visiter son nouveau magasin.
