Four of My Favourite Things: a pOp uP residency with Sylvie Roussel-Janssens. Sylvie will be working outside the Ranger Station, April 26-30, constructing a sculptural installation representing the four hormones of wellbeing. Working with recycled materials, gathered from close to home, Sylvie's project melds art and science to transform the exterior of the building. Visitors are welcome to visit and watch the work as it progresses. Masks and social distancing are mandatory.

Call for Young Artists. We are looking for children and youth to participate in our upcoming 2021 Young at Art exhibition at the Ranger Station Art Gallery. Kids from Harrison Hot Springs, Seabird Island, Sts'ailes, District of Kent and Agassiz are all welcome to submit one artwork in any style or medium. If you have a kid, or know a kid, please encourage them to submit a piece. Artworks are due Wednesday, April 28, 4:00pm.

New arts initiative from the Evergreen Cultural Center. They are inviting multidisciplinary, emerging creators between the ages of 18-30 to apply to (): . There will be workshops with guest professional artists, ongoing support from Evergreen staff + access to our studio facilities to make an artwork for a 10-day group exhibition in August! "Nothing Without Us" is an exhibition of works by artists who identify as living with disabilities. Curated by KickstART Disability Arts and Culture, this show features the work of 11 artists. Come visit us. We're open 12-4pm. Covid-19 protocols are in place for the safety of all. Masks are required.

Another beautiful weekend to visit Harrison and the Ranger Station Art Gallery. "Duality Paradox", an exhibition of bookworks and zines will close on Sunday. Next week we will show the work of visual artists who identify as living with disabilities. KickstART's "Nothing Without Us" will run from November 7 to December 6. We look forward to your visit.

The Kent Harrison Arts Council is pleased to announce a Call to Artists for our winter Small Works Show 2020, which will run from December 12th to February 14th, 2021. All works should be 10" x 10". Wood panels are available at the Gallery. Each membership gets one free panel; others are available for $10 each. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces. The deadline to submit is Friday, December 11th at 4:00pm.
