Kenyon Memorial Sunday - September 6, 2020 The forecast calls for a beautiful sunny day on Sunday. "Join us for our annual Kenyon Presbyterian Church Memorial Service on September 6, 2020 at 11 am in Dunvegan, Ontario. This is the 180th Anniversary of the establishment of the Kenyon Congregation and the Kenyon Cemetery. A short (~30 minute) outdoor service celebrating our Celtic heritage will be held on the lawn in front of the Hall, weather permitting. The program will be conducted by the Rev. Jim Ferrier focused on the celebration of our ancestors through music. Donations will be welcomed in support of the Churchs Cemetery. COVID-19 protocol to be followed please bring a lawn chair and face mask to socially distance during the service. Unfortunately, no lunch will be offered this year."

On this day 30 years ago: Roy Williamson died, aged 54. Along with Ronnie Browne, he was one half of legendary Scots folk duo The Corries. He also wrote and sang this belter, the unofficial Scottish national anthem, Flower of Scotland. Gone but not forgotten.

Kenyon Presbyterian Church 21.04.2020

A movie crew has setup in Dunvegan at the Glengarry Pioneer Museum to film a Hallmark Christmas movie titled Once upon a Christmas. The Kenyon Church parking lot has been rented by the crew for their base camp and the church hall is being rented as a staging area. The movie is scheduled to air on the Hallmark Channel this December. We will let you know through this facebook page when it will be scheduled to air.

This is a song I wrote for the late Mrs Rae MacCulloch who had a passion and love for teaching and sharing the Scottish and Irish danc...e and shared it with glengarry and the world thank you Rae. And I want to thank glengarrys own Ashley MacLeod & Kelsey McDonell who wrote the fiddle and piano parts with this song thanks again you both made it come alive.
