Almost finished building the new school in 1909. It was at the same location as the current high school in Keremeos.
FAMILY DAY: Due to snow and ice, the Keremeos Museum will NOT be open this Family Day. There's a horrific amount of snow and ice in the parking lot that is not easily removed at this time. However, the ramp has been cleared (Thank you Tom Haker) for volunteers to access the building. We will now wait for Spring thaw (soon, very soon) before encouraging public access to our building. Please note: the Keremeos Recreation Center will be hosting various "Family" events on Monday, Feb. 17. MEAT DRAW: Our next fundraiser meat draw at the Keremeos Legion is Saturday, March 7th, starting at 2:30 pm. Come out and support the museum. This is a great fundraiser for us. Everyone Welcome.
A huge "Thank-You" to the Hedley Masonic Lodge for their donation of $3,000 to the South Similkameen Museum. Donations like this are greatly appreciated, as they help to fund our day to day operations. In this photo, Ed Minshull of the Masonic Lodge is presenting the cheque to our Museum president, John Sladen.
