Take the stress out of healthy eating by aiming to follow this as a guide! Eating nutritious food does not need to be super complicated. Trust me! *Aim* to follow this: 1/2 plate colour aka fruits and veggies 1/4 plate carbs and starchy veg... 1/4 plate protein (meat or vegetable protein) +flavours, fat and a glass of water! This is meant to be a *GUIDE*! Aim to build your meals this way but adjust as needed based on your hunger during that meal. Some days might not look like this and some meals just don’t fit this guide. That is perfectly fine! Next time you’re reaching for the latest diet, remember this post by SAVING for later. *this might change based on your individual needs (ie: athlete)

Learn how to build a salad with this post! SAVE for when you need salad inspo. The key to a good #salad is making it FILLING and SATISFYING. It’s all about choosing veggies you actually enjoy and topping it with your favourite foods. Plain salad with citrus dressing? BORING.... Greens with veggies, nuts, seeds, meat, chickpeas, cheese, grains, colour, creamy dressing? YUM. Salads definitely aren’t necessary to good health if you don’t enjoy them. Some people really enjoy as a simple, no fuss meal and a way to increase veggie intake. Fun fact: the fat in your salad toppings and dressings will actually help your body absorb the fat soluble nutrients in the veggies! #nutrition #nourishyourbody #fuelyourbody #nutritiontips #healthyliving #balancedlifestyle #eatgoodfeelgood #nourishtoflourish #registereddietitian #intuitiveeating #allfoodsfit #flexiblediet #simplenutrition #antidietdietitian #nutritionist

Guess what? It’s normal to feel sluggish after a big weekend of food, drinks and chocolate. I get it! It’s human to feel like you need to restrict something today, over exercise or start a diet to get on track again. But..... I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to do any of that! PSA: you didn’t gain 5 pounds over the weekend! Instead of restricting, do everything on the bottom half of the page! Eat normal, consistent meals focusing on balance. Drink your daily wa...ter. Go about your week like you normally would and set goals like you normally would. Forget the diet BS that comes after a big weekend. You are human. You aren’t bad for enjoying delicious food. Food has no moral value. Your body still deserves and NEEDS fuel today no matter what you ate on the weekend. Plus who cares?! Food is also there for enjoyment and satisfaction purposes.
