My home altar for this last harvest season. Blessed Samhain to everyone.

Blessed Samhain on this glorious autumn day! This is the last harvest festival before entering the Dark Time of the Wheel of the Year. Are you ready for the coming time of contemplation and inward reflection? Perhaps a personal ritual will open the way for your own path? This picture is of my home altar for the season. Each morning I sit before it, light a candle, breathe deeply and say an affirmation such as "I am at peace with the world and everything within it." A great way to start the day and prepare myself for more meditation to come in the dark months of the year. Bright blessings to you!

I know they are not a necessity, but my loving husband had to brave the grocery store and picked up flowers. The lady helping him was so happy to wrap them up! Thank you.

In the midst of studying Funeral Celebrancy. A great class of folks to learn with under a wonderful tutor. This certificate brings some deep thought with the lessons. Such a good time of year for this kind of reflection.

This week I had the pleasure of attending a gathering of the most amazing people in the world -- a whole gaggle of life-cycle celebrants! Wonderful learnings, supportive answers, ideas galore -- and a lovely venue in Victoria BC. My heartfelt thank you to the organizers of that fantastic journey.
