1 x 1 605 Quarantine goals: come out of it better than you got in. I'll admit that having a gym in my basement has put a lot of pressure on me to not let training slip....at all. So far, I've managed to do exactly that. But the truth is that I've had to stop training all my in-person clients, and that wasn't easy. I needed to look at other ways to train them, this being online, and still make the best of the situation. ... Yes, it's ok to be down, and yes it's ok to have a hard time with it but don't forget to still find ways to make yourself proud when it's all said and done. #quarantinestrong #onlinecoaching #onlinecoachingfitnessplan #yycfoodie #bodybuilding#powerlifter #powerlifting #bodybuilding#bodybuilder#love#loveyourselffirst#fitness #fitfam

She my bestie! Growing up my dad and uncles would tell me that "a woman can either build you up or bring you down." So find yourself a good one. I didn't understand what they were talking about...... It was in my 20s when I finally realized what they were talking about. I would like to give a shot out to my bestie who holds it down @ChiaraAllen You encouraged me to go for my dreams! You stood by me in my most difficult time! You make me want to be a better person! You have opened my eyes to new experiences! No matter what happens with us I'm lucky to have you in my life Give a shot out to your bestie! PS. Let me get a lil personal... I was bullied when I was younger I was never a big kid...I was actually always the smallest... BUT If I couldn't be the biggest then I wanted to be the fastest or the strongest so that’s what I started focusing on but it wasn’t enough at the time to stop the bullying. All people saw was how small I was!... Growing up in Jamaica, I got picked on by this bigger kid, even though we were in the same grade and age. He was just bigger and that granted him bullying me verbally and physically. The first time it happened, I felt so helpless. He was stronger, bigger and my punches back did not to hurt him one bit. His surely did. I would avoid this kid every day, but the thing was I had to pass his house to get out of the neighborhood... so I started to get good at taking the longer way just to avoid him When I moved to Canada, I was 12 years old but in Jamaican timeline that's like 16 years old In junior high some of the kids would call me Webster. Just to paint a picture on how small I was, on my wrestling team we would line up from smallest to biggest and we would practice in groups of 4...I was almost always in the 1st group of 4 with 3 other girls that’s Kool tho...I enjoyed practice anyways I used to wish I was taller but I was shorter AND smaller. When I got to high school, they had a weight lifting program so I joined and it was the best feeling after touching the weights for the first time. It became an addiction. I never stopped working out since because that feeling gave me inner confidence. As a side effect, I started to put on size which was cool too. Best part? People started to notice! They started to treat me differently, look at me differently...and no more Webster. So that’s how my lifting journey started. It was a way to get mentally tougher and a little bigger. Why did you start lifting? #onlinecoach #onlinebusiness #onlinecoachingfitnessplan #yycfitness #yycpersonaltrainer #yycfitnessfamily #yycfit #yycfitspo #yycfamily #yycliving #yycevents #yycentrepreneur #calgary #yycfoods #yycfoodie #yycgym #gymtime @ Calgary, Alberta
