Hello, my friends, I was looking back over the last 3 years on how adopting a ketogenic lifestyle has brought healing and health to my life. No more afternoon crashes, increased mental clarity, and high energy levels throughout the day. I lost 28 lbs, reversed my prediabetic, and brought my hypothyroidism under control. Here is how I was in 2017... Thank you, Keto See more

Best ways to avoid pesticides: Pesticides impact our health in numerous ways and sabotage our efforts to eat healthily and reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Pesticides are linked to many human health disorders but also affect soil microbes and compromise nutrient densities of the produce grown on this soil. The environmental working group (EWG) is an organization that publishes each year 2 list of produce that are heavily spread by pesticides called "Dirty Dozen" and the o...ne that is not so heavily sprayed called "Clean 15" These lists contain a lot of keto-friendly foods check it out. The EWG's "DIRTY DOZEN" PRODUCT LIST FOR 2021 The EWG notes that "Nearly 70% of the non-organic fresh produce sold in the U.S. contains residues of potentially harmful chemical pesticides." And each year, they analyze a broad range of produce and publish the 12 fruits and veggies that are most contaminated. Listed in order starting with the worst, here is the 2021 list: 1. Strawberries 2. Spinach 3. Kale, Collard, and Mustard Greens 4. Nectarines 5. Apples 6. Grapes 7. Cherries 8. Peaches 9. Pears 10. Bell and Hot Peppers 11. Celery 12. Tomatoes Try to buy only USDA Certified Organic versions of these 12 fruits and vegetables especially. Many other countries have similar certifications, such as EcoCERT, which is based in Europe and conducts inspections in 80 different countries. USDA Certified Organic means the produce has been verified -- independent of any claims of the companies that sell them -- that they are clean and organic. If you can't buy them organic, do be sure to very thoroughly wash them to get rid of surface pesticides. Unfortunately, there are many pesticides that can penetrate inside the produce over time. ALSO, NOTE that EWG publishes the "Clean 15" each year. These are the fruits and veggies that had the LOWEST AMOUNT of pesticide residues: THE EWG's "CLEAN 15" PRODUCT LIST FOR 2021 1. Avocados 2. Sweet Corn 3. Pineapple 4. Onions 5. Papaya 6. Sweet Peas (frozen) 7. Eggplant 8. Asparagus 9. Broccoli 10. Cabbage 11. Kiwi 12. Cauliflower 13. Mushrooms 14. Honeydew Melon 15. Cantaloupes While the best step is to buy all your produce USDA Certified Organic... If that is challenging, it stands to reason that the "Dirty Dozen" are more important to buy organic versus the "Clean 15"Environmental working group See more

3 ways to a successful keto It's going to be three years now since I started keto in 2018. I remember my struggles in the early days on keto that included hard to stay on track, sugar cravings, and sleepless nights (sometimes). I learned a few things that I recommend now to keto beginners or even people who have fallen off track and want to start again. 1) Optimize your bile flow: Bile breaks down fats and helps to remove toxins from the body. Adding herbs, arugula, and app...le cider vinegar does the trick 2) Replenish your Electrolytes: I was feeling tired and was craving sugars. I wanted to reach out for fruits and baked goods. I started adding 1/4 teaspoon of salt to my water and few drops of lemon and drank 4 glasses of this water during the day. It was a big game-changer 3) Eating a small dessert at the end of my dinner like chia seeds with coconut milk and some berries right after dinner helped me get a good night sleep. WHAT ARE YOUR STRUGGLES. PLEASE SHARE BELOW
