*True Story Archives* As you can imagine I cross paths with quite a few interesting personalities and their "unique" requests when we are either buying or selling houses. So in the spirit of that I'm going to share over a series of posts some of the funniest, quirky and slightly unusual experiences as a Realtor. ... Picture in your mind a couple that's been married a few years, has a couple kids and needs more space. Husband wanted more basement for a theatre room, bigger garage and a pie shaped yard. The Wife on the other hand only wanted 1 thing.... An Ensuite with 2 sinks. She looked me straight in the eye and admitted that if she had to brush her teeth in the same sink with her husband and his amazing ability to splatter toothpaste and moustache trimmings everywhere one more time she may just murder him! She didn't care where, how big the house was or even if the house was fully finished. This was a matter of life and death! Needless to say we found a house with a huge Ensuite and 2 sinks hahaha! Do you have a pet peeve with where you live?

What's the best piece of advice or favourite trick you can share about home ownership? Personally, I love having a smart security system that allows us to adjust the thermostat from the couch ha. In our house, we find that if we close some of the upper level registers and open all the basement ones it seems to heat the house much more evenly.

Not only did I learn on this journey that Heather is an incredibly educated, determined and wonderfully artistic spirit - she's also a world class baker too! Saskatoon's performing arts community just gained a fantastic new positive energy with her arrival as well. Congratulations on your new home and I'm so impressed with your accomplishments! !

Did you know that as a Buyer it's ok to ask the Seller for the utility bills on the home you may be buying? In rare cases the bills may be unexpectedly high and that can highlight hidden issues.

We know Liam approves of the sign at least as much as his new digs! Congrats Jan & Brett on your exciting new purchase!

How on earth did this happen?? It felt like a busy month, but not this much! I can't even begin to tell you how much I LOVE this job!!!! This will never get old and I feel giddy like a little kid! So thankful and there is no chance i could have done this without my wife Amber diligently working alongside as my assistant and life organizer. The amazing staff at Realty Executives for patiently always answering the millions of questions, my family and all of the fantastic people I've had the pleasure of working with lately.
