INTERESTING... Even I "sort-of" missed the September change of the green secure icon. I thought maybe it was just my browser acting up. I think Google is on the right track here - it does make sense to put the emphasis on the PROBLEM sites and not make any deal at all about the secure ones. Security online should be a given in today's world, and for it to blend seamlessly into the background is great - AS LONG AS IT CONTINUES TO WORK. And that would be my only concern. I... tend to look for the green lock or SAFE (Norton) icons when I do online banking or Ebay trading.... now I guess I'll be relying on a flashing "Red Alert" or something to tell me when I'm treading into dangerous territories..... Be safe out there people!

NEW Website Launch for a new online Real Estate company in Nova Scotia. We used several specialized tools and some custom programming to build this fully automated website that lets users subscribe to a listing plan, upload their property photos and details and get listed for sale in under 10 minutes.

New Website for a local custom framing company. While this customer's existing website was functional and reliable, they had little to no control over making immediate content changes, relying entirely on their webmaster. It had been quite some time since launching and content and features had become stale and outdated. They are elated to now be in complete control of their new CMS website and we have provided them with a dynamic and responsive template that brings their site to customers across all platforms and devices.

In July Google Search Results - Chrome Browser - Firefox Browser and other search engines and browsers WILL start marking all websites still operating in HTTP as NOT SECURE!!!! We have been working non-stop since last fall to help customers in this situation to either add SSL certificates to their hosting (at a cost of up to $299 additional to their present hosting package), or to migrate them to our preferred hosting company that supplies them for FREE. AMAZINGLY though, the...re are still millions of websites out there (some of them our customers too) that have not jumped on this very important issue, and are waiting to see what the fallout is. Google has already said that the purpose of this change is to make the Internet a safer place for everyone and that with all the recent security threats online, non secure HTTP websites should be all but abolished altogether. Further they are adamant that they will do the following to any HTTP website starting in July: 1. DROP your present Google search result to the bottom of all lists, placing all the HTTPS websites at the top - and mobile friendly HTTPS sites at the top of that - so YOU RISK HAVING YOUR WEBSITE LOST AT THE BOTTOM OF ALL SEARCHES 2. Indicate that your website IS NOT SECURE with a warning message in the top corner of the browser window. And if your website transacts any kind of personal data, they may BLOCK YOUR SITE FROM LOADING ALTOGETHER with a warning window like in the image below. We have seen instances where you can't even get past this block if you wanted to - they lock you out altogether with no option to proceed even if you wanted to. SO - If you have a website that is operating as HTTP://www.somewebsite.com and you want your customers to be able to find you and not be presented with a message that they might not be safe doing business on your site, you need to get over to HTTPS NOW!!!!!! We can help! Give us a call or an email or visit our website.

NEW Website for a Residents Association. Premiering on May 30th with a sneak peek here, this was an exciting project to replace an out of date and defunct site from 2014. Lots of great dynamic content in this build like events, galleries, listing modules for PDF minutes files, slideshows and community news keep the front page of this site fresh so residents will make it a regular stopping place for news and information.

LOGO DESIGN It's always fun to do something a little different, and I enjoy getting to play with illustration instead of always coding. This was a fun logo design project to go along with a new website for a local jewellery and photography company. The new website's online store is almost fully populated and will launch shortly as well.

The automated system includes online stores, blogs, catalogues and many other great features to help grow the independant businesses of the clients. We hope to be hosting several thousand, if not tens of thousands of stampers on this system in the very near future.

Just Launched - New Website for a local Interior Decorator. We are pleased to have helped a local Interior Decorator develop a beautiful new website for her well known and established business. We provided a great set of tools that did away with other paid third party services, like galleries. Google rankings were slipping due to outdated SEO practices and tools in the old site - so we worked hard to ensure that those rankings are regained so this site is once again at the top of search results.

NEW Website - Personal Journey Blog We were very excited to help Jessie launch her personal blog last month. This project was originally conceived of as a combination blog and online store selling product and givin advice on sustained eco-friendly gardening and active healthy living within ones means, but due to health reasons, for the time being has become a journey blog about a cancer diagnosis and one persons fight to beat it. Once on the mend and back in the saddle, Jessie will continue to develop her blog and online store.

NEW WEBSITE PROJECT for Oak Island Lot Five I'm really excited about this new website project, and very honored to have been chosen to bring it into being. The mystery of Oak Island has long been a fascination for me, and when I was approached to build a website to present a never-before-heard story about the natural beauty and some very interesting artifacts found on an untouched part of the island, I jumped at the chance. Check it out, and enjoy this amazing story: https:...//oakislandlotfive.com The customer wanted a very minimalist template - all white background - no animations, simple menu text without hover effects, etc. adopting a more "Artistic / Art Gallery" approach, so that the images of the artifacts would stand out. We did get to employ some very interesting custom coding though, in the way of integrating some PHP scripting with a visitor counter module to make it count visits in Roman Numerals. Fun little things like this make website building fun!
