So happy this commissioned painting is packed and shipped to a collector in the US. This one is all about lighting and action as a large musky ambushes a school of shad - only to be fooled by an anglers lure...lots of challenges on and off the easel numerous times hopefully my client likes it in person!

I always feel so humbled selling my art - and honoured someone chose my art to decorate their lives. I painted this a few years ago as an attempt to capture the moment a predatory Musky attacks a school of distracted feeding perch.

This was a tough one. I was recently commissioned from a good friend to paint a portrait of her brother that was battling cancer. The challenge of this piece was creating the scene where I am placing the subject on Grimsby beach where he used to take his dog and had so many good memories. I went to the beach with my son Nolan and our dog and had him pose for some reference photos. Unfortunately Jeff passed away before I could finish the painting and never got to see it. I never met him but certainly felt a connection with him while painting it. RIP my friend Jeff Sparling 11x14 acrylic on canvas
