Sometimes, when working with smaller spaces, it can be very difficult improving the functionality of a kitchen. However in this case, by partially removing a wall, an opportunity was created to integrate an eating bar and open up the main floor for a more interactive layout. The kitchen measurements were also just big enough to be able to change the layout from a "U-Shape" arrangement to an "L-Shape" with an island. This created a more direct traffic flow from the kitchen t...o the dining room without sacrificing storage. The exposed pillar and beams were then wrapped with matching cabinet material to tie the rooms together.
