I've been busy over the past year: - Launching digital publication: The Committee Trawler - Developed in-person solutions for LMNOP Creations - Learning more about Linked In Marketing and Business Solutions... - Engaging with learning opportunities in a number of topics including trauma-informed approach, BIPOC issues, impacts of digital social engagement on day-to-day life, and more. - Learning and working with KDP publications in both low content, fiction and non-fiction on Amazon KDP. - Developing better graphic design practices for higher social media engagement I have also be slowly chipping away at work books for social media management for Political and Not-For-Profits, to help assist with building the confidence to create an online persona and forum for your campaigns! Start-ups are chaotic at the best of times. Pure evil at the worst. It's really beneficial to have someone to go through it with you - even if it's just for moral support. I am in the middle of assisting a couple of start-ups to get off the ground. They both have the potential of being something amazing! Is it easy for them to get going - HELL NO! We have multiple launches slated for the Fall! Such an exciting time for a number of our clients. From a community news source to a children's boutique to the re-birth of a brand! Let's be honest - the past few months have been tough on all of us. (keep reading for an offer below) I, personally, have gone through some serious ups and downs. From the new reality brought on by COVID-19, to social upheaval ... and now a move across the province ... it's been tough. But I would like to share with everyone now that I am now getting back into a routine, getting back into the swing of things, and am starting to get rolling. I have spent some time reviewing t...he book I have been writing, I have re-jigged (love that word) ... I have re-jigged some of my administrative templates, and I foresee some restructuring of personal practices to help get through life. (Keep reading! The offer is coming!) All this to say that I am still going - and still committed to providing service and consultation to those who need it. Especially now. That is why I am going to continue to provide small services and consultation by donation or for free (your choice) to small businesses. In addition, please contact me if you are a BIPOC - if you wish to utilize my services, I would love to help you in any way that I can! In addition - I want to provide assistance to those who have not been granted the same privileges I have. It's time for us to work together for tomorrow. Because yesterday... well... frankly yesterday sucked. So we need to build a better tomorrow because I don't know if we can take any more of yesterday.

So you've started a Facebook group - and it's getting pretty big. People are knocking on your DMs with questions, complaints, and general "OMG - I love this idea." It's too much for you. It's too much contact with people, too much work for just one or two, it's TOO MUCH NEGATIVITY! I get it! You wanted to do something nice, that you hoped would please a lot of people. That's fair. But you can't please everyone! Very every 10 people who are thrilled, there will always be that ...one unsatisfied person that will speak up. This is where moderators come in. Often you may find some people within the community who wish to volunteer and step up. But sometimes, your group may be huge. So huge that there is a need to exchange value and hire a moderator. That's totally ok! Hiring a moderator for your Facebook group is ok, and regular practice. People (Virtual Assistants) who are hired to take on this role assert themselves more frequently than volunteers. They are more likely to enforce the community rules, and (let's be honest) they tend to be less likely to take shit and quit after getting shit on. If you are interested in discussing group moderation - please contact me. During this time of Pandemic, there is a number of methods of payment or exchange in value that do not even equal money! So why not explore it while you can!

I have been very lucky so far to have been working with such incredible people during this difficult time! I am honoured to be able to assist with growth and reach. Understanding which platform and who to target is challenging from time to time. While many of us instantly believe Facebook is the way to go - sometimes it's not. It's OK to be slow in growth - but understanding why is important! What are the gaps, what can be done better, where can we adjust?... When working with social media, it is critical to be fluid - adjust when needed. Knowing that you will have to change your strategy constantly should always be at the forefront of your mind.

I have been hard at work during this challenging time. I have been juggling being a mom, a student, and a worker. This week is the final week of my year and a half long journey in Paralegal Studies. I have been offering many of my services for negotiable prices/for donations. I recognize that this is a challenging time for many people and businesses. What have I been up to? Launching a Podcast Re-defined a few Social Strategies Continuing to develop a "Political Social Media for Dummies" resource Finalizing the testing of the TikTok Algorithm (it's not as chaotic as it initially appears...)... 1 Day away from launching an e-store/e-brand About to start promoting another e-store/e-brand Wrote 2 legal memos, and a case brief. Set up a timeline to establish and optimize SEO for a client. Set up a guideline to write programming for youth on political participation (and no ... not the "get out a vote," kind, the "here's what a campaign manager does," kind). Did a bunch of laundry, cooked a bunch of dishes, grocery shopped, and went to a convention. (I also ran out of coffee somewhere's in there, got bloodwork done, got a warning about coronavirus, and hugged the kiddos and doggo) When I tell you I'm a multi-talented, multi-tasker... I wasn't lying.

What are you up to today? Today, my number on goal is to get back on track with my motivation. How am I doing that? Well I'm not focusing on my wall of post-it notes. Nope! ... I am spending some time building long-form content/book material. And it's coming along nicely! I cannot wait to share with you some of the things that I have been working on!
