Mother daughter/circle of life/farming teaches moment: so went to the neighbours (part of our circle an essential for farming) and ended up helping deliver a set of lamb twins-made my month, love babies and no calving this winter at our place. In the truck headed home I asked Liv if she liked watching the birth and she was all excited and said yes then for some reason I said "mommy has to do that in 2 weeks" and Liv looked at me like "what?"......And then I clarified "mommy has to push her baby out like that in a couple weeks" and the look on her face was epic, a mixture of stunned and frozen.... I don't know if she thinks the sheep births it for me or if some Farmer is going to pull the baby out or if she's thinking "how does that work"...her face though... killed me, still laughing

Trials of a FarmHer with a non-cowy husband... someone’s riding the steer but he won’t stand, I think it’s Sham.....nothing like checking cows/butts at 10pm then trying to get the prospects in for potential AI for dear husband so he can halter them while I work tomorrow. May they catch easy for my poor husband. *dreams of husband cussing out cows* hopefully he lets me keep them after tomorrow lol
