Huge thank you to Patrick Tondu for donating about 500lbs of clothing to Bmack & Karly's Cold Weather Clothing Drive with Virgin Radio Kelowna and Canadian Mental Health Association, Kelowna! This year, #BMackandKarly's Cold Weather Clothing Drive will be in support of Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society and Kelowna SHARE Society. If you have warm clothes in your closet that you don’t wear anymore, donate them to provide a simple, vital gift to those in need in our community.
Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society gave out over 100 winter care packages during our outreach breakfast this morning! Thanks to Tru Frozen Yogurt Bar and Kelowna's Gospel Mission, we were able to provide everyone with frozen yogurt and cookies for dessert! Thank you so much for donations UBC Okanagan Aboriginal Programs & Services!

Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society served roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetable medley, a bun, and gravy ontop during their "Feed the People" event today. Thanks to our amazing volunteers and employees, we were able to feed approximately 93 individuals!
Indigenous Harm Reduction is a process of integrating cultural knowledge and values into the strategies and services associated with the work of harm reduction. Indigenous knowledge systems are strongly connected to spirituality, holism, and the natural environment. Therefore a learning model reflecting animal teachings and values was struck to support sensitive conversations around addictions and harm reduction through an Indigenous lens.... We are looking for some extra volunteers for our upcoming clothing drive! We need some individuals to help sort and count clothing, as well as a few extra people with vehicles to pick up the donations from various drop-off locations. If interested, please contact us via messenger or through email at [email protected]
70+ individuals served this morning!!
Thanks to the amazing support and donations from UBC Okanagan Aboriginal Programs & Services, KFS Outreach will be hitting the streets to ensure that everyone is prepared for these cold winter months. Today and Tuesday, our team will be going around our downtown core, handing out 50 blankets to those in need. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Congratulations to the lucky winner of our 50/50 draw, Jocelyn. We would also like to recognize everyone who purchased a ticket. With your support, and thanks to Jocelyn for donating $70.75 of her winnings, we managed to raise $641.50 for our winter care packages! We are only $200 away from making 100 winter care packages for vulnerable and marginalized members of our community! For more information on our care packages, please contact us via messenger, at [email protected], or by coming down to Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society at 442 Leon Ave.
