My friend Rachael can probably squat more than you.
An excerpt from a recent epidemiological study surveying roughly 1100 students at a fairly large university in the states. They found a strong relationship between strength training frequency and academic performance. Although the data is simply correlative and needs further research to prove direct causation, it's good food for thought. Study hard and lift heavy kids.
A little tip for the ladies. I'm a huge fan of the recent hype surrounding squats to get that "squat booty," but keep in mind you don't have to do them to achieve this. There is no magical property of squats which make it integral to reaching that goal. The actions of the gluteal muscles are extension/lateral rotation of the hip along with extension of the trunk. There are plenty of exercises which can achieve this. With that said, you'd be an idiot not to make squats a primary staple of your program.
