Our dearest alumni staff member Jasmeet Kaur has sadly passed away. We will miss her passion for life and positive spirit. May she Rest In Peace. Today, we should have said goodbye to our last campers of the summer. It would have been camp #17 out of the 20 we had booked for 2020. Eventhough we didn't run those programs this year, we still had LOTS happening at Khalsa Centre. We had an amazing work crew doing Project Beatification. When you are back in 2021 you'll notice a few things we worked super hard on this summer: * repainting all the facia boards and railings * constructing an obstacle course with 6 different e...lements * installing new flag poles * creating a new workshop/fire pit space * creating a staff manual * being artistic and welding together a 2-wheel tower * new mural on the security building * siding and new windows on the house * new asphalt from the gate to the Langar Hall * new fence on the north side * completing our ditch in the farm * making recycled tire art (bike/teacup) *making and maintaining a garden * construction of a gaga ball pit * various virtual camps to keep our young kinds engaged during this difficult summer * the list goes on as we completed over 100 items on a to do list. We did suffer a huge loss this summer with a fire in our gym building. We lost our gym, ACE and REC, but we didn't let a fire stop us from being in chardhikala. We thank you for the support during this difficult time. Thank you so much to our summer crew and we look forward to seeing you all in 2021.
