I'm happy to announce that I will be working with McGill University this year, as their Diversity, Equity & Inclusion consultant. I will be working with them on a number of projects, including their initiatives to create and implement anti-Black racism policies, changes to their high school and CEGEP outreach programs, and both supporting and collaborating with their Black/BIPOC students, staff and faculty

Message to all schools: As we prepare for the return to school, most of us are concerned and preoccupied with protecting our children, our students and/or ourselves. While the presence of COVID-19 monopolizes are emotions and thoughts, please be mindful that some of these students/children/colleagues are also suffering from the repeated trauma caused by the on-going violence, discrimination and murder of Black/Indigenous/ members of society. They may be carrying an invisible anguish that adds to duress of this time in their lives. The recent shooting of Jacob Blake (shot 7 times in the back, after walking away from police, in front of his 3 children). Please be mindful, and don't be afraid to reach out. It's not about having the answers, but showing them that they are not alone. #JacobBlake #ittakesavillage
