Today we celebrate my mom's 3rd birthday in heaven and I want to share with you the story of my business's name. Sweet joy was created in honor of my mother who passed away in 2019 from cancer. She was an incredible cook and an amazing baker. My childhood was full of cakes, cookies and pies. When she was baking, I was nearby, waiting impatiently for a spoon covered in merengue. What a joy it was to lick that spoon! When she opened her restaurant, she named it Joy because it r...eflected what it was about: bringing joy to people. Every time I visited her, she would show me one of her recipes and she would tell "Learn from me while I am still alive". After her death, I wanted to continue her journey and cherish our shared love for sweets. That's why Sweet Joy. And I want to thank you all for your purchases and orders.
