Ok, when you’re asked to photograph a fellow photographer, it’s both the biggest compliment... and then instant panic! But then, you find yourself geeking out over photography, in a beautiful location, sharing new styles/ideas and getting to know each other... and it’s so amazing

Oh my gosh, this session!! So much went in to planning, in such a short bit if time, but between all of us, it came together perfectly. And when I saw this beauty driving down the forest road.. oh by gosh, I was giddy. Gorgeous! I’ve always had a soft for VW’s, and this one, is like child #3 to this fam, so I knew we were going to have some fun! And bonus, we had a beautiful little pull out where we snapped some family pics. Honestly, just absolute pleasure to hang with this fam and soak up some of their incredible energy

PS- shot pre Covid!! Honestly, extended family shoots tug on my heartstrings the most. Yes, they are often harder sessions, and much more posed than I typically shoot (but I obvs sneak in candids and fun too ), but it’s what I’m shooting, that gets me every time. Family!!! Everyone!!! Together!!! And I know it’s sooooo hard to get everyone together! The schedules... oh the schedules... often seems impossible. Which also makes this type of session so absolutely magical Because everyone is there for the same reason, to celebrate today, to celebrate family, to celebrate everyone being there, because time flies... and today is the BEST day, to capture your loved ones

The sun is back tomorrow, woohoo!!!! Got a full day of sessions booked and I couldn’t be more excited!!!!! Like my friend @littlechickadeesphotography said, we photogs have been so lucky this Fall with incredible weather And...have some more sun coming up, woohoo!! Don’t wait until the rainy days to book, let’s get out and play in the sun while we can
