Kickstart Recruiting 23.12.2020

Welcome everyone back to Motivation Monday! I’d like to introduce the eleventh guest on Motivation Monday, a good friend of mine and former teammate, Jordan Piccinin from Bolton, Ontario. Jordan in his early years played youth soccer for Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club where I had the pleasure to be his teammate for 3+ years. We then decided that we both wanted to get to the next step and joined Winstars Academy. At this point Jordan received an offer from U of T, but unfortunat...ely due to academics was not able to attend. However, this ended up landing him a trial at TFC Academy where he played for a couple seasons. Jordan at this time also wanted to focus on his education, so he decided look for a school in the Toronto area where he was then recruited for the Humber College soccer team. He went on to win at Humber 3 National Championships before unfortunately in a friendly breaking his leg. This setback was very tough for Jordan, but endless months in the gym and rehabbing got him back to where he needed to be and more. Jordan then went on to sign his first professional contract in Sweden, following with a contract in Italy before Covid. Jordan is another example of a player that things never went his way right away, but through perseverance and dedication was able to make his goal of becoming a professional. This goes to show that even though you do not make it professional right away, that does not mean you will never play professional. Like Josiah, Jordan put himself in a position to make it to the next level by first receiving his education at Humber where he gained playing experience at a top level. Jordan will be speaking about his playing career, his difficulties and challenges he faced and advice for all of you wanting to make it professional. Big thanks to @jpiccinin10 for sending in a video. I hope everyone watching enjoys and takes something out of it!
