From nothing to complete drawings. Quite often building drawings are lost, damaged, or so out of date that they are useless. An architect is left with his tape measure and a camera to try and recreate drawings for new projects. LIDAR scanning is a tape measure and camera on steroids. Collecting over 900,000 measurements a second, in full color and completely geo-referenced to each other and the local survey. We can scan an existing building inside and out and using the pointcloud collected, create extremely accurate drawings or models from the data. End result are drawings that accurately reflect the current conditions of the building. This reduces surprises and change-orders when new work is being done.

Using Raster Design is a handy tool when you want to use portions of a manual drawing in an AutoCAD drawing or when you need to make only minor changes to a manual drawing. Below is an example from a screen capture of a "hybrid" style drawing. Only the parts of the drawing that are being revised are converted to AutoCAD vector data. The rest is left as the raster scan, although we did replace the border with an AutoCAD border as well.
