March is nutrition month! Nutrition plays a big role in kidney health care. In the later stages of kidney disease, damaged kidneys may not be able to process all the nutrients going into the body. Without the kidneys helping to get rid of excess nutrients, people have may have to eat different foods. This helps to keep certain nutrients from building up in the body which can cause other health problems. This change is happening across Manitoba and starts Monday, March 15th. You will be provided a medical mask when you arrive for your renal/dialysis appointment.
