March is nutrition month! Nutrition plays a big role in kidney health care. In the later stages of kidney disease, damaged kidneys may not be able to process all the nutrients going into the body. Without the kidneys helping to get rid of excess nutrients, people have may have to eat different foods. This helps to keep certain nutrients from building up in the body which can cause other health problems. MRP Renal Dietitians have created lots of information for people living with CKD or on dialysis available on our website take a look: https://www.kidneyhealth.ca/living-with-kidney-d/nutrition/
New made-in-Manitoba technology could create more opportunities to diagnose kidney disease earlier and provide treatment to prevent or delay kidney failure or the need for dialysis.

Health care workers are on the front lines of Manitoba’s fight against covid-19. Across the province, compassionate and caring individuals have stepped up to en...sure we are able to continue offering the services and support to those in our community who need us the most. But we aren’t done yet. There are a number of areas in direct care and behind-the-scenes that need additional support today. A variety of opportunities exist for former and current health care workers to make further meaningful contributions to the health of Manitobans during this critical time. Rural, Northern and Winnipeg-based opportunities are available. Visit https://sharedhealthmb.ca/covid19/providers/jobs/ for postings.
