We had a "blast to Mars and Beyond!" at Trunk or Treat 2020. While the event was a little different this year, we did manage to have close to 30 kids come out and enjoy a little time of Trick or Treating... and I know there were a few moms and dads who may have enjoyed themselves as much as the kids too. ( Which was allowed. ) A big thank you for everyone in the Senior Corps along with a few Friends of the Army who came out to help put off a much needed event for our youth. Many of our children have not seen their Corps friends since last march, so this was a great time to allow them an opportunity to briefly reconnect in a safe and fun way.
On Friday, October 30th, St. John's West Corps will once again present our annual Trunk or Treat for our YP kids in the Corps Parking Lot. This year will strictly be an outside event, and we ask all kids to be mindful of social distancing rules. You must keep a distance from others, and wait for your turn to approach a Trunk for treats. Each car participating must park in the lot, and leave one empty space between each car. Please use sides and back of building if necessar...y. Treats are to be placed individually as close to the bumper to allow kids to take their treat and move on. Each person at the car must wear a mask, and use gloves for handling the treats. If you need gloves, we can provide these at the Corps, just ask. (If you are providing multiple items, we ask that these be bagged together to avoid any rummaging in bags or bowls etc... The event will start promptly at 630 pm and end at 7pm. We hope to see as many of our YP kids as possible, and also hope to see as many of our senior corps members participate as possible as well.

Hi Everyone. Going live in a minute or two with an Easter story... Hope you can all make... Hi Everyone. Going live in a minute or two with an Easter story... Hope you can all make...
Good morning everyone. This being Palm Sunday, a day when we celebrate Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem before being led to the cross, let us celebrate together separately. While we can't be together physically right now, we can't be separated spiritually. I would encourage you to take a few minutes today and read Matthew 21 : 1 - 9 for the Palm Sunday Story. While reading, remember that while Jesus was cheered and praised on this day, that in five days, the same ...crowd that shouted HOSANNA! Would also shout CRUCIFY! I want you to know this morning that Jesus endured the scoffers, and faced death upon a cross for no other reason than because HE LOVES YOU! Never forget that. As you celebrate today, Jesus' joyful entry into Jerusalem, it is our prayer for each of you this day that you will also celebrate his joyful entry into each of your hearts. Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Matthew 21:9 https://youtu.be/iK7oIlElNZ0
Don't forget folks...if you have the time :)
