Day two with our ambassador Megz !!

A little update on our pilot project with my Junior High CTF class! I am continuing to be BLOWN AWAY by my students each day. Today’s task? Use COLOUR as the subject and explore the school. Look for abstract images, patterns and shapes to tell your story. We have one more class together before I move on to my next group of students. I cannot wait to see the stories that unfold!! Digital literacy 101

Hey all, it’s Magz!! I’ve just wrapped up Day 2 of my junior high pilot project. I’ve taught 30 students the basics of composition and shooting in manual mode in just 2 classes, and I am BLOWN AWAY by the creativity they’ve shown. These are students who, until now, have only had a cell phone camera in their hands. Instead of snapshots, these students are learning to control and create images before they hit that shutter. Cameras for Calgary school

Christina contacted us via emial and wrote "I am very much interested in applying for sponsorship for 35mm SLRs and any darkroom equipment you happen to have laying around your facilities to support my film based/darkroom program that I am re-establishing at my school (the darkroom hasn’t been used for around 20 years). I would also be particularly interested in any studio lighting and tripods if you have. I teach at an inner city Vancouver secondary school, and have an incre...dible group of kids in my photography program (I also teach graphic arts and yearbook). I currently have about 50 students involved in my photography program, but I am looking to grow it over the next few years." Here is what we were able to do for her program!
