Please see below for information regarding the 2020-2021 school year. Registration for currently enrolled families is on April 19th. Registration for new families is May 3rd. Our goal was to have a program for everyone, and I think we have succeeded! This year we are offering our toddler program, preschool program, and a school readiness (extended hours!) program specifically for children born in 2017.

Another update! Please continue reading for important information. Refund cheques are just about complete. We have been advised to have pick up dates at Kids Street. A board member will meet you at your vehicle with your refund cheque. Stay tuned for dates for this. Attention families with children graduating this year (those entering JK in the fall!). We have a backdrop set up at Kids Street if anyone would like a photo opp! Please ensure if you arrive and there is another... family using it, stay in your vehicle. Weve set this up so families can use their own camera to take a photo, and no one needs to touch anything inside or outside of the school. The backdrop will be there for the foreseeable future! Over the next two days, board members and teachers will be dropping off certificates and a treat to Kids Street graduates. If someone is home when we arrive, we will also leave your refund cheque. If no one is home, we will keep the cheque with us and have it at one of our pick up dates. Enjoy the beautiful weather! And thank you to Owen for modelling our back drop for us today!

In consideration of COVID-19, after much careful thought, Kids Street Parent Board has decided that we will be closed for the next three weeks until April 5th. ...We will reassess then and decide how to proceed. The health and safety of our Kids Street families, staff, and the community is our top priority. Update! Kids Street will not be at the leisure fair as our programs are full (thanks to our awesome educators!) Registration for next year will happen in April (for currently enrolled families - check your newsletter!) and May for everyone else.

At Kids Street we support the children in taking their time to work on their self help skills. Starting on January 13th every Monday from 1-330pm, we will be offering a 5 week afternoon session focusing on these skills specifically. Email [email protected] if youd like your child to join! Perfect for those going to school next year!

Our afternoon program is usually quieter and allows children to get some great one on one time with our educators. We have spaces open Tuesday-Thursday and will be running a fun Monday afternoon program in the new year. Email [email protected] if youd like your child to come join us in the afternooon!

Well we did it! Breakfast with Santa was a hit. We always try to have plenty of food without any waste, and have a runner for more as we need it... but when the power went out and the stores closed, Port Elgin stepped up! Special thanks especially to Steph and Steven Steward for topping up our food from their own house, and Scott from Rowland's Your Independent Grocer for letting us grab some supplies while the power was out! As always thank you to Uncle Tony for keeping thin...gs running smoothly in the kitchen and Jennifer O'Reilly behind the camera! And today would not have been at all possible without our Special Events Coordinator, Katelyn Von Hatten. Huge kudos to Katelyn for pulling off this event (a two woman job!) by herself! We had a great morning and hope to continue the tradition (with power!) next year.

A heart felt thank you to everyone who donated to the two families we sponsored this year.
