Police asking for Public’s Assistance: Peterborough Police are asking parents and guardians to take a moment have an important conversation with their children ...after an incident on Tuesday night at the recent fire scene. On September 22, 2020 at approximately 9:30 p.m. police were called by security to attend the fire scene at 369 Hunter Street West as there was a report that a 13 year old gained entry to the burnt building. Upon arrival police located an insecure door however there was no one located inside. The door has since been secured. Police strongly urge the public to remain away from the fragile structure as it is extremely unsafe. When Police officers and Fire fighters have to re-enter the unsafe structure to look for curious individuals, it puts them at a very high risk for injury.
