Kidzsmart works with sports teams to ensure that they capture the next generation of fans 10 to 20 years down the road. There’s no better way to do this than putting together your very own and Kids’ Club!

There are many factors that deter young girls from considering a career in STEM. Here are some ways we can give them some extra encouragement and push them to succeed!

Kidzsmart has worked on the BC Lions Read, Write & ROAR! literacy program for 14 years. This kids' program has become a classroom favourite across British Columbia; it is distributed to more than 16 school districts and reaches 20,000 elementary school students every year! The program encourages kids to follow their team and promotes the importance of reading and writing through a fun and captivating activity journal created in partnership with Kidzsmart.

Kidzsmart created a classroom presentation, activity booklet and website for FortisBC to deliver messaging around Electricity and Gas safety/conservation to children. Learn more about this kids' program here!

RV travel and camping has become an extremely popular family activity, and Kidzsmart knows the best way to keep kids entertained on the road. Check out this piece highlighting the kids’ program we produced for The Grand Canyon National Park Lodges.

Bertucci's Italian Restaurant's kids’ program is made up of a variety of games and educational activities to keep kids entertained when dining out. Activities where you can count the ingredients using math to solve challenges, and games where you can spot the difference and match up different food types make learning more fun for kids. The program also contains a coloring page, but the most popular section is their dough game. Here kids can mold their dough into the shapes ...prompted in the booklet, something that the whole family can enjoy together! As always, Kidzsmart uses diverse characters in this kids’ program to ensure that families see people just like them in their activity books.

It’s extremely important to teach kids to be confident and love themselves, and an outreach program from Kidzsmart does this by encouraging exercise, healthy eating and positive mental health to help kids develop good relationships with their bodies.

We know how important representation is, and that is why we pride ourselves in creating a diverse range of female characters made up of different races, orientations and physical abilities for our kids’ programs. We want to make sure girls see characters just like them in our outreach programs and we use these characters to show young girls that they can do anything in life. Our STEM content emphasizes the fact that STEM is for THEM and not just for boys. We encourage girls to get interested and STAY interested in STEM, to pave the way for a better future. By emphasizing the practical, tangible side of science, and promoting role models in scientific careers, we can encourage girls to think beyond the job title and see the sciences as accessible, fascinating, and right for them.
