Great news for small business owners that pay less than $50,000 in rent..... -Lower rent by 75% for small businesses that have been strongly affected by COVID - 19 for April, May, and June -The government will cover 50% of the reduction with the property owner covering the rest -Eligible small business must be strongly affected by COVID-19 and be paying under $50k per month... -Non-Profits and Charitable Organizations are also eligible -Rent relief for larger businesses will be coming shortly -Details will be coming shortly as to how this will work or be refunded -Although all provinces and the federal government have come to an agreement, it is uncertain if this still need to be passed through legislation See more
