We have said goodbye to our beloved Angus, the concierge of Kildonan House, after a long and brave battle with a brain tumor. Every guest upon arriving in our great Hall would be greeted with enthusiasm by Angus. He would likely be in the same spot upon our guests departure, which was not his favourite time to see his new friends leaving. He was a loving and welcoming friend to all who met him. We miss him beyond words.

When you are on your way to or from Kildonan House an exceptional place to stop is Edison's Cafe, where Thomas Edison lived in 1863. Buffy and Greg would be delighted to serve an amazing meal and a selection of coffees and teas. We highly recommend them to our guests.

Greetings from Kildonan House. The province of Ontario has now approved short term rentals and B & B's to be open. The experience and safety for our guests is our paramount importance at Kildonan House. As we continue to maintain safe and healthy protocols for our guests we will be opening for reservations on July 1st. Social distancing continues to be an important concern, on that basis we will begin with an offering of two suites available to reserve, guests can select ...from; the Victorian Suite, with a king size bed and Jacuzzi ensuite. The Laird's Suite and the Ambassador Suite. Both of these suites have queen size beds and new ensuites. All of these suites have been remodeled over the winter and have SAT TV as well as central air. Our rates for the summer for any suite is $200.00 per night including breakfast and taxes. Weekend stays require a two night minimum stay. We provide a full Huron County breakfast with products from our local community providers. Special requests and dietary requirements are our pleasure to provide. Kildonan House awaits to welcome our guests, once we receive approval to open. The flags are reminiscent of the Kildonan House history, as it was once named Washington Place by Richard Irwin, the original owner and builder and family relative. Everything is prepared and ready for our guests, including newly remodeled suites, the salt water pool and an acre of gardens. Please take care and stay healthy and safe.
