We encourage all to wear green and/or blue for the day! We honour our beautiful planet tomorrow - Thursday as part of our upcoming spirit day, Earth Day. As part of an interconnected system we will do our part to take the day and revisit what makes our planet, and all it encompasses, so unique, fragile, and wonderous. As a Montessori school we embed the larger picture of our eco-web through Cosmic Education and Earth Day is a way we can observe what others do and gain ideas on what we can do to make our world a better place.

The Killarney School Legacy Project is accepting your Holiday donations now! Go to www.killarneyparent.ca/150legacyproject to donate and print a Thank You card to give to your loved one if your donation is a gift. Due to covid restrictions on activities that our annual direct cheque appeal (DCA) campaign would have typically sponsored, we are encouraging parents to support the 150th legacy project in its place this year. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated, and if y...ou can give a bit more this year, it would really make a difference. The Legacy Project will be accepting donations throughout the school year to try and reach our goal of $25,000. Watch for the official celebration of 150 years of Montessori, coming in Spring 2021. Dear Killarney families, This year marks 150 years of Dr. Maria Montessori and the educational philosophy she created that we continue to enjoy today. Although it is a year like no other, the Killarney Parent Council wants to help celebrate this great milestone and continue to engage in initiatives that support the school, our children and families as best we can. In that regard, the council is introducing a 150th Legacy Project Fund to go towards new outdoor learning and rec...reational spaces at Killarney. We are asking families to consider donating funds to raise initial seed monies for larger external grant applications. We are also seeking interested members to join the 150th Legacy Project Committee to spearhead these fundraising efforts and help create design proposals.
