Hang in there! There's lots of things that we can't control about our current situation, but there are a few that we can control - so focus on those instead. This, like everything else, is temporary and we'll get through it! #HolisticHealth #MentalWellness #SelfCare

Take good care of yourself in these uncertain times. Control what you can control - things like sleeping enough, drinking water, and making sure you eat as healthy as possible are all important. Hang in there! #HolisticHealth #MentalWellness #SelfCare

And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently. "And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal. "And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed." ~Kitty OMeara #HolisticHealth #MentalWellness #SelfCare

"Loving is an art. It must be learned, practiced and explored. Take the time to understand yourself and your heart. Instead of expecting your relationship to complete you and to give you all the things you crave, learn how to give them to yourself and then you take all of the love thats spilling out of you, and pour it into your relationships, your passions and your dreams." #HolisticHealth #MentalWellness #SelfCare

Sigmund Freud noted the importance of love in the healing of the human psyche. So many of life's distresses have their origins in lack of love, disruption of love, or trauma. Adults and children naturally seek love in their lives to feel complete. Love more

For everybody wanting to communicate better or feel closer to those they love, meaningful conversations and deeper connections start with emotional safety. "Our brain is constantly detecting through our senses whether we are in a situation that is safe, dangerous, or life threatening. When our body and mind experience safety, our social engagement system enables us to collaborate, listen, empathize, and connect, as well as be creative, innovative, and bold in our thinking and ideas. This has positive benefits for our relationships as well as our lives in general." https://www.gottman.com//emotional-safety-is-necessary-f/

Although life can feel overwhelming at times, we are always in control of the thoughts that we hold in our consciousness. I encourage you to let go of the mental stuff that is either not helpful or even untrue, and keep only the ideas that support good health. #HolisticHealth #SelfCare #MentalWellness

"Banishing an upset child is pushing them away just when they need you the most. Worst of all, they only calm down and become more "obedient" because youve triggered the universal childhood fear of abandonment." #holistichealth #mentalwellness #selfcare

"Stress is of course an inevitable part of life, and in small doses it can be beneficial. But in recent years a growing body of research has shown that persistently high levels of social and emotional stress the kind brought on by a high-pressure job, a divorce, financial worries or strained relationships, for example can dampen the immune system and promote inflammation, heart disease and premature aging." #HolisticHealth #SelfCare #MentalWellness https://www.nytimes.com//stress-can-make-you-sick-take-ste

The man doesnt know that there is a snake underneath. The woman doesnt know that there is a stone crushing the man. The woman thinks: I am going to fall! And... I cant climb because the snake is going to bite me! Why cant the man use a little more strength and pull me up! The man thinks: I am in so much pain! Yet Im still pulling you as much as I can! Why dont you try and climb a little harder!? The moral is you cant see the pressure the other person is under, and the other person cant see the pain youre in. This is life, whether its with work, family, feelings or friends, we should try to understand each other. Learn to think differently, perhaps more clearly and communicate better. A little thought and patience goes a long way. Be kind to people. Everyone we meet is fighting their own battle.
