I am so incredibly grateful and proud to be a member of my regulatory body, HRPA. Their support, development, and regulation of the HR profession has made huge impacts in the changing business environment. HR has evolved so much and has truly become an integral piece in strategic management. Thank you HRPA for helping me become the professional I am today! https://www.hrpa.ca/renewing-your-hrpa-registration/ #kimhrconsultant #HRPA #saugeenshoresstrong

As I wrap up another busy week, I’m taking in a webinar from the Ministry of Labour, Training and Development. This webinar focuses on the current Employment Standards Act (ESA) and employer responsibilities . Have you brushed up on legislative job protected leave? Quick quiz: if you’ve temporarily reduced your employee’s hours or wages for longer than 13 weeks due to COVID, what kind of leave are they on? Don’t know the answer? Let’s talk! https://www.kimhrconsultant.com #kimhrconsultant #saugeenshoresstrong #BusinesstoBruce

Whoop whoop it's Friday! What an incredible and productive week, so many positive things happened for me, namely, being appointed to the Board of Directors for my regulatory body, HRPA. What was good about your week? As we come to the end of our work week, now is a good time to reflect about motivation. Are you self-focused or other- focused? Self-focus is pure mojo magic and it makes a big difference in how you show up for your clients and community. Have a fantastic weekend...! https://lnkd.in/dQffZYC #kimhrconsultant #saugeenshoresstrong #BusinesstoBruce #saugeenshores #owensound #brucecounty #greycounty #huroncounty #motivation #leadership #community #success

I am incredibly pleased to announce that I have been named to the HRPA board of Directors leadership team of the Grey Bruce Chapter! I am looking forward to the opportunity to expand my knowledge of the field of Human Resources and to translate this knowledge to the benefit of my clients and community. It is so important to expand professional expertise, networks, and knowledge. You with me on that? Actively pursuing knowledge is important on so many levels. For me, knowledge... is a means to understand complex issues that I can use to increase public awareness. When I leverage knowledge, it helps me succeed in my career which transfers to my clients’ success in business. It also helps me muddle through misinformation and discover truths and it is a means to find, gauge, and seize opportunities that would otherwise not exist. And of course, it provides nourishment and exercise for my mind. What are you doing to expand your knowledge? #KimHRConsultant #SaugeenShoresStrong #HRPA #GreyCounty #BruceCounty #HuronCounty

Why do we need workplace legislation? Employment laws protect employees from unfair treatment by their employers. Without them, employees would be vulnerable to a number of threats. Simply, employment laws are meant to reduce discrimination, set standards for minimum wage, and increase workplace safety. They also educate employees about their rights and responsibilities and how to take action when violations are experienced. But these laws also benefit employers as well. Oper...ational ambiguities are reduced by establishing clear-cut expectations along with guidance materials like employee handbooks and workplace policies that guide employees in meeting their responsibilities. This supports the right of an employer to manage their business as they see fit, like hire and terminate employees. But the benefits extend well beyond the workplace. Our society as a whole is made better by establishing norms for Ontario’s labour force that provide mechanisms for fair treatment and equitable practices for the people who do the work. As a HR Consultant, I can create workplace policies with positive outcomes for both parties. Unsure if your policies are compliant with legislation? Let’s connect! So excited for this later today! Human Resource professionals recognize the need for diversity in the workplace. As a HRPA registered Human Resource professional, I am committed to encouraging employers to develop workplace policies and culture around ethical practices such as diversity. I’ve completed many hours of training in this subject and am grateful for the opportunity to build policies that reduce systemic racism. When was the last time you reviewed your workplace po...licies? Now is an excellent time for a policy ‘refresh’ to make sure your workplace supports diversity! https://www.kimhrconsultant.com #kimhrconsultant #saugeenshoresstrong #saugeenshores #internationalwomensday2021 #BusinesstoBruce #huroncounty #greycounty #brucecounty #diversityandinclusion #hrprofessionals #HRPA https://www.kimhrconsultant.com
