Thanks for the shout out Wildsight! Providing community grants to help fund programs like this is what the Kimberley and District Community Foundation is all about!!
When you donate to a charity do you wonder how much of your hard-earned money actually makes its way to the charity? You can view this information on Canadahelps.org for all your favorite charities. We here at the Kimberley and District Community Foundation are incredibly proud of our impact graph which shows our very low overhead as a volunteer-run foundation, meaning more of your dollars go directly into the hands of our grant and charitable recipients. Win-win for everyone!

KDCF Grant Over $100,000 to Kimberley Community Organizations Without a doubt, 2020 has been quite the year. The volunteer directors at the Kimberley & District Community Foundation (KDCF) feel incredibly fortunate to have been given the task to help grant over $100,000 to assist community groups and organizations in their efforts during these difficult times. The KDCF annually provides grants to community groups that focus on social welfare, health, education, the environme...nt, arts and culture, and sport. This year over $21,000 was granted to deserving community groups, teams, programs, and initiatives. In addition, the KDCF partnered with the Vancouver Foundation and the Community Foundations of Canada’s Federal Emergency Community Support Fund to provide over $80,000 to community groups that were experiencing financial concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds covered a wide range of community issues ranging from food security, senior and youth well-being, education, and facility renovations for COVID prevention. We still have over $20,000 in COVID Emergency Grant Funds to give away within our community, so please help us spread the word or reach out to us for further information at [email protected] or http://kimberleyfoundation.ca/home/apply-for-grants/
