I think about my grandchildren and wonder about the environment we will leave them. Thank you Kelsey Eakin for opening my eyes to wasteful consumption of textiles and plastics.
Many thanks to Ryan Clark and Kat McNichol @dreamerscreativewriting @dreamerswriting for treating my poem so tenderly. #dreamerswriting # writingfarm #poetry #poetrylovers #bereavement https://www.dreamerswriting.com/Kimberly-Peterson/

Although it is raining on the strawberry fields today, I can't help remembering this summer.
For entertainment this Canada Day, we watched people pick their own strawberries at the neighboring farm. One group even decided to have a picnic on our lawn. Happy Canada Day everyone
The protests occurring in the US are truly disturbing although not unpredictable. Thank you to @DrunkMonkeys for publishing this poem in 2016. I remember this poem as I pray for ordinary citizens in the States as all those disempowered by discrimination around the globe. https://www.drunkmonkeys.us//poetry-dummy-hand-kimberly-pe
This is the choice that faces the world. Will we play through this pandemic together, looking after one and other, or will we each play our own tune!
Happy Earth Day. #earthday #earthday2020 #Appomo #aprilpoetrymonth
Reading about the environmental improvements that have occurred as a result of decreased air and car traffic around the world got me wondering... #poetrymonth #earthhour2020 #APRPOMO
I will write the other half of this poem when we flatten the curve. #StoptheSpread #AlongTogether
No matter what happens in your day, the sun sets then rises on a new day tomorrow.
I want to thank Kathrine Barrett for sharing my poem on Understorey's Covid-19 webpage. You can read it here: https://understoreymagazine.ca/2020/03/diagos-dark-waters/
