Here are some of the teams that I was able to photograph in the fall before the shut down of sports. This year I incorporated an option where players came to the studio individually and then I created a composite team photo. I have done this concept for a few years with basketball and volleyball teams but this was the first year with hockey. It certainly worked well in this time of Covid. Personally, I really hope that kids can get back to this very important aspect of their lives very soon. It is tragic to know all they have lost.
This person is one of my favourites. She is fierce, she is loyal, she is hilarious, she is the keeper of all secrets and she is a dear friend of mine. Sandie is also my hairdresser and beside her chair hangs a photo of her holding a blow dryer when she was maybe three years old. She has wanted to recreate this photo for awhile and we finally found some time to make that happen. I also asked her to bring her gorgeous daughter along so that we could do some mother/daughter pics as well as have some fun with Taryn.
My last grad post of the year and it is of one of my own. This is my second son to graduate and sadly due to the state we find our world in he/we did not get to enjoy the usual festivities to celebrate this momentous stage of life. I hope that 2021 will bring us back to our old normal especially for the younger generation who are missing out on so much. We are very proud of Sam and how hard he has worked in both his academics and his golf game. After this gap year we hope he continues to find success in university life.
This is the second last grad I will post for the year. It was quite a grad year all things considered. I photographed 50 grads which kept me hopping. Thank you to everyone who hired me, I truly appreciate your business. Now to Zach...he has the best dimples and the easiest smile. He graduated from Medicine hat High School and has recently moved to Okotoks. I wish him all the best he enters this next stage of life!
I don't shoot weddings anymore but I am always more than happy to photograph engagements. Noah and Shayna have been a couple since grade 6 and now they are going to make it official. Such a great love story that they will be able to share with their future children. Congrats Noah and Shayna!!!
