Pay attention to your pets and your Christmas decorations. They aren't meant to be eaten.

This is great for cats, also, as noted at the end of the article.

ARE YOU FEELING ANGRY? A lot of people are feeling angry right now. If you are feeling that way so are your pets. What can you do today that will help you and y...our pets? Ask these three questions: Just for now, and as best you can, could you let it go? (Yes or No? No story required. Just answer the question.) Just for now, and as best you can, would you let it go? (Yes or No? No story required. Just answer the question.) When? It doesn't matter how you answer these questions. You might answer, No. No. Never. You might answer, Yes. Yes. Now. Your answer might be anywhere in between. Regardless of how you answer, each time you ask these three questions you release a little bit. You can do several rounds of these questions and then later do several more rounds. Give yourself a little bit of time in between each question so you can answer honestly. If you are really feeling angry (or whatever else you are feeling) and you have no intention of letting it go, simply answer that way. Could you let it go is really asking if you are willing to let it go. Maybe you are willing. Maybe you aren't willing. Would you let it go is really asking if you want to continue to suffer. You get to choose. Just for now is really saying that you can put it down for now and it will be there for you if you need to pick it up again. So, you can let it go knowing it will be there for you if it's too much to be free of it. Whatever you can do today, and everyday, that helps you feel smoother and more peaceful will benefit your pets. It's a beautiful win-win. Questions courtesy of The Sedona Method.

ENERGY HEALING What can you do today to help yourself and your pets? Have an energy healing session. Energy Healing (not a substitute for medical care) can addr...ess all kinds of issues. It can help reduce overwhelm. It can release the underlying reasons for the stress you felt before all of this happened. It can help reduce physical pain and emotional pain. It can support your immune system. It can reduce allergies. It can help you feel more grounded. It can help you sleep better. It can lessen the trauma stored in your body. It can release the triggers you have so you can exhale and turn off the alarm bells ringing in your body. All of this is true for people and animals. You can have an energy healing session for yourself and/or for your pets. When you have healing, your pets often benefit from this. When your pets have healing, you often receive from it as well. There are lots of different healing modalities and most can be done from a distance, which is perfect for today's requirements. An energy healing session is a great gift to give to yourself or to your pets. I do distance healing work on animals and people. If you would like support for yourself or your pets through these challenging times contact me to book an energy healing session. You can Message me or you can contact me by email: [email protected] for your pets or [email protected] for people sessions

There is a lot of chatter right now in the world, and possibly within yourself. I posted this back in April and it feels as relevant now as it did then.

FEELING ANXIOUS? GIVE YOURSELF A SELF-HUG There's lots to feel anxious about these days. A simple way to lower that feeling in your body is to give yourself... a self-hug. It's easy to do. Place your left hand on your right elbow and your right hand on your left elbow. Hold for a minimum of 10 seconds. You can hold for as long as you like. You can do this several times a day. Giving yourself a hug has the same benefits as giving a hug to or receiving a hug from someone else. It activates your parasympathetic nervous system. This is the part of your nervous system that is responsible for increasing your sense of safety, for calming you down, and for increasing your sense of trust, both with yourself and with the world. It is the rest and digest system. The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for countering the effects of your fight or flight response, which is what causes your feelings of anxiety. What does a self-hug have to do with your pets? Your pets pick up on your anxiety and can become anxious themselves as a by-product. Anything you can do to lower your anxiety helps your pets' anxiety.

Going back to the office? Heading back to school? Our Behaviour Team is here to provide you with some tips and tricks on how to prepare your dog. As many Alber...tans are heading back to the office in the next couple of weeks our pets are potentially being left home for larger periods of time. This can cause separation anxiety and can be a highly stressful transition for our pets. AARCS wants to help reduce the anxiety for both you and your pet by providing some helpful tips and tricks. Today we will be releasing our 3 part Tips & Tricks for Preparing Your Dog for Back-to-School or Back-to-Work video series. Sit back, relax and ENJOY! TIP #3: Crate Training - Setting your dog up for success.. 1. Objects to use for a more positive experience; Kongs, Treat Dispensing Toys, Kong Wobbler, Chew Sticks and Safe Dental Chews. 2. PRACTICE! Open up all doors, so it’s not so scary. Throw some tasty treats in to let them know going in the crate is a GOOD THING! Use positive reinforcement. Keep doors open for now so they do not feel trapped. REMINDER: use an appropriate size crate for your dog. Ensure it's not too small. 3. Once comfortable practice closing the doors of the crate. Remember to continue to use lots of tasty treats and positive reinforcement. 4. Crates are a little less scary with some practice and tasty treats! #BacktoSchool #TipsandTricks #AARCS
